Hello
I was prescribed mesopral 40mg for pseudoduodenitis or duodenal ulcers.
But this is where the problem begins... And my story, namely for a year I have had stinging in the area of the right rib at the very bottom, literally where the gallbladder lies, the pains are irregular and can be temporary regardless of the time of day or before or after a meal, the pain is stinging similar to colic.
It started to worry me so I went to my family doctor, the doctor gave a referral for an ultrasound and morphology + all liver tests, crp, creatinine and urine
The results are very good and there are no objections to the ultrasound either.
I went to the surgeon for an appointment, after looking at the results and the task, the doctor gave me a mesopral for 28 days until the next visit, he mentioned a gastroscopy in the future, which I would gladly go for because of this strange problem, after 3 days of taking mesopral the problems began, empty belching, a feeling of fullness in the abdomen and lack of appetite and nausea
I have never been diagnosed with reflux/ulcer disease or inflammation, I also have not had problems with heartburn, acid belching or stomach pains, the only thing that bothers me is nausea before menstruation and ovulation, but I have it confirmed by my gynecologist that the problem is hormonal.
Did the doctor do the right thing by prescribing this drug to me?
Should I stop the treatment and inform the doctor about this situation at the next visit?
Where could be the problem??
I will add that I am not a smoker and I use anything other than SSRIs and I do not eat fatty foods
I'm 24 years old
