I have recently started my adventure with contraception (I have been taking birth control pills for about 9 months). Initially, I took Sylvie30, but unfortunately they affected my mood a lot, I often had mood swings and sometimes I had spotting that lasted over a week and ended after menstruation. I changed to Qlaira tablets after 5 months. I'm taking the fourth package now. Since I've been taking them, I'm not so emotional anymore, but I have frequent spotting, usually every blister in the 2nd or 3rd week of taking birth control pills and these spotting lasts until menstruation, which is terribly bothersome, especially when starting my sex life. I went to the gynecologist, the lady told me to do thyroid tests, because it may be related to frequent and long-term spotting. So I did, tests showed that I had a healthy thyroid gland. Today, spotting and pain in the lower abdomen started again. I currently live in Ireland, you have to wait a minimum of 2 months to see a gynaecologist here, and I will only be in Poland on New Year's Day to go to the gynecologist. I would like to know if I could stop taking the pills now (I'm on day 11 of the Qlaira blister) take a break until next month and start taking the other contraceptive pills that the doctor in Ireland suggested, with the 7 day withdrawal that Qlaira lacks? What could I do in this situation?
