Hi.
I use Implanon Nxt as a contraception.
I have been taking collagen supplements (supplement ingredients: fish collagen peptides, hyaluronic acid and vitamin C 90 mg) every day for a long time. I attach a photo of the ingredients. I also take Omega 3 supplements regularly.
I was looking for information on the interaction of collagen, Omega 3 and hyaluronic acid with Implanon Nxt, but I didn't find reliable information.
Can daily, long-term use of collagen, hyaluronic acid with vitamin C reduce the effectiveness of Implanon Nxt contraception?
Can the regular intake of Omega 3 supplements, as well as their combined intake with collagen (composition in the picture) have an effect on the effectiveness of Implanon Nxt?
I would also like to explain the issue of vitamin C. I have read that vitamin C in doses higher than 1000 mg can affect the effectiveness of contraception. But the article wrote about estrogen as a component of contraception. Implanon Nxt does not contain estrogen. Do I understand correctly that these recommendations do not apply to Implanon Nxt? I'm worried because my collagen already contains 90 mg of vitamin C, and I often eat fruits, citrus fruits and strawberries. Do I need to control the amount of vitamin C in my diet? Do high doses of vitamin C affect the contraceptive efficacy of Implanon Nxt?
Thank you for your reply.
