I have gastroesophageal reflux and erosions in my esophagus that I need to treat. For this purpose, the doctor recommended me to take Dexilant 60mg when heartburn occurs. The first package (28 tablets) lasted me for 93 days (on average, I took a pill every 3 days and 7 hours). I continued to take Delilant in the same form and the average heartburn is the same. So far I have taken 28+10 tablets.
However, I wonder if this form of taking Delilant (when heartburn occurs) is correct, or maybe I should take it systematically.
At the same time, I don't know whether I have acidity or hypoacidity. Today I had a slight heartburn and decided to try to drink half a glass of pickled cucumber water, because if it gets worse, I'll take a pill anyway. For now, it seems that the heartburn has disappeared (after the juice I burp, but not with the content). I'm wondering if I get better, can I continue drinking pickled cucumber/cabbage juices and stop Dexilant?
How long should I take Dexilant with my form of medication (or maybe this method is quite ineffective) to cure erosions?
I plan to enroll in pH and pressure gauge. Should I stop taking Dexilant before them to restore the natural functioning of the stomach? If so, how much time before?
Best regards
