The Kyleena IUD may affect changes in bleeding, including its intensity or duration. Spotting may also appear . Such side effects are very common, in ≥1/10 of patients. In the first months of use, irregular bleeding and spotting are common. However, they should stabilize over time. The reaction to the IUD is individual, reduction of bleeding/spotting may occur after different times. According to the manufacturer's information, most women have less or no bleeding at the end of the 1st year of use. If the bleeding is scarce, there is no reason to worry. However, if it intensifies and does not go away, and is accompanied by disturbing ailments, you should consult a doctor.
