Is it possible that Kyleen's IUD stopped working if there was more bleeding, lower abdominal pain and oily hair and complexion?

Good morning, in November 2021 I had a Kyleene insert on. Since then, my periods have gone into spotting gradually. For 3 months I have been bleeding more and more during menstruation, my lower abdomen hurts on the first day, and in addition, my hair and complexion are very oily. Is it possible that the insert has stopped working? I was on an ultrasound check-up a few weeks ago and the doctor who put it on says he doesn't see anything alarming. I do not know what to do with this problem ...

If your gynecologist has not ordered any additional tests, there is probably no need for it. The described symptoms may occur, m.in as a result of a change in lifestyle. excessive stress or dietary changes. Alternatively, standard preventive examinations such as complete blood counts, liver tests, thyroid tests, cholesterol and glucose tests, and a general urine test may be performed to rule out other health problems.

Thank you for your reply. Should I do any research then? For example, laboratory, related to hormone levels? Does the IUD affect such results? The doctor told me that it had a local effect, and that my natural cycle would return after putting it on and discontinuing the combined pills.

If during the consultation and examinations at the gynecologist nothing alarming came out, then there is no reason to worry. There may be another cause of the symptoms observed that is unrelated to contraception.
