For a week I have been taking a new drug for hypertension - lerkarnidipine. Unfortunately, within about an hour after taking the tablet, my heart starts beating very quickly (resting heart rate about 103); it takes about 3-4 hours, then returns to normal (70-80). This happens after each intake of the drug, accompanied by a large weakness and trembling of the legs, and sometimes also nausea. I've never had heart rate problems before. When the symptoms subside, I feel good, the pressure is normal, but those few hours after taking the tablet is very unpleasant and practically impossible to function. I do not have the opportunity to contact the attending physician, I have a follow-up visit only in over a week. I don't know what to do in this situation. I also want to ask whether any of the groups of drugs are considered to be best tolerated by patients? So far, I have already used betablockers and calcium channel blockers and after all (there were already 5 of them in total) there were annoying side effects. Apart from hypertension, I do not have any health problems.
