Good morning
For two years I have been taking beta blockers Metoprolol Succinat at a dose of 47.5 per day, due to the sudden appearance of a crazy heartbeat at the slightest effort, extra heartbeats, paroxysmal cough at the same time (previously a lot of severe stress).
Now, for 3 days after consulting my doctor, I have reduced the dose by half and I only take the 23.7 dose in the morning.
My heart starts to go crazy again, especially at night when I roll over to the other side, my heart starts beating so fast as if it was going to jump out. Every move I make during the night makes my heart beat fast. During the day, I also feel extra beats and rapid heartbeat more and more often, but not as fast as at night with the slightest movement after sleeping still.
Is this just a temporary reaction of the heart to reduce the dose of the drug and will it settle down in a few days?
Thank you very much for your reply.
Best regards
Lidia
