Good morning, the son has the flu. Accepts Ebilfumin from today. The other son, husband and I are vaccinated. Should we also take Ebilfumin as a matter of all? Thank you

Ebilfumin is a preparation that is used to treat infection and spread of the influenza virus. The vaccine delivers antibodies against the virus. In specific cases, the use of Ebilfumin may be recommended in people who have already been vaccinated against influenza. Studies show that the use of oseltamivir (the active substance Ebilfumin) in vaccinated individuals significantly reduced the incidence of clinically known influenza. According to the Ebilfumin package leaflet, "The appropriate use of Ebilfumin for the prevention of influenza should be based on a case-by-case basis, taking into account the circumstances and specificities of the population requiring protection. In exceptional situations (e.g. where circulating strains do not correspond to the virus strains contained in the vaccine or in the event of a pandemic), seasonal prophylaxis may be considered in individuals one year of age or older." Therefore, the assessment of whether the rest of the family that has been vaccinated should use prophylactic treatment remains to the doctor's assessment.
