What antibiotic am I allergic to?
The doctor prescribed me an antibiotic. From a week fluctuating temp to 37.5, additional symptoms indicating possible sinusitis. I got Zinnat after which I got allergies, the doctor changed it to Augmentin. Unfortunately, after the first tablet, urticaria appeared in different places on the body and in two places erythema. It disappeared after about 3 hours, after taking lime. In September, due to a large cut wound and stitches, I took Ospamox and had no side effects. Is it possible to become allergic to penicillins after a month, or is it a reaction to clavulanic acid from Augmentin?

Tak, bardzo możliwe, że jest Pan/Pani uczulona na kwas klawulanowy. Reakcje alergiczne na penicyliny syntetyczne i półsyntetyczne oraz kwas klawulanowy są dość częste. Cefalorsporyny (Zinnat) też u 1,5 % leczonych wykazują reakcje nadwrażliwości. Zachęcam do wykonania testów na nadwrażliwość na leki w tym antybiotyki.
Badania przeprowadzane są w poradniach alergologicznych specjalizujących się w diagnostyce nadwrażliwości na leki.
