Drovelis is a combined contraceptive containing estetrol and drospirenone. When used correctly, they are characterized by high contraceptive effectiveness. Drovelis contains 24 active tablets and 4 placebo tablets. When using placebo tablets, so-called withdrawal bleeding should occur. During the first few months of using the drug (usually 3 - 6) there may be irregular bleeding and spotting, which is associated with the so-called adaptation period to use the drug: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/111326/drovelis-tabletki-powlekane/ulotka Any drug used may cause side effects, but this does not mean that every patient will experience them. The most commonly reported side effects of Drovelis are, m.in, mood disorders and impaired libido, headache, abdominal pain, nausea, acne, breast pain, painful menstruation, weight fluctuations. If you observe the occurrence of side effects of the drug, I encourage you to report them. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over medicines available on the market. We wrote about how and why to report side effects in the article: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-i-dlaczego-zglaszac-dzialania-niepozadane I encourage you to read additional materials that may be useful: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/antykoncepcja-hormonalna https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jak-prawidlowo-stosowac-antykoncepcje https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/jakie-leki-oslabiaja-skutecznosc-antykoncepcji
And if I have quite high androgens and I take Drovelis contraceptive pills, they may be less effective? Due to the fact that I have higher androgens and hirsutism
The worst pills I've ever taken. Almost two months of use, and I got more side effects than in two years with other pills. Long-term spotting, abdominal pain, painful period, acne, sweating and nausea are just some of my post-drovelis complaints. The final blow, however, was extreme hair loss – when combing with my hand, I pulled out as much of it as I can in two days when combing with a brush. In addition, much worse mood and lack of concentration. Personally, I don't recommend it very much, I endured two packages and returned to Sylvie 20, which were practically non-invasive for my body.
Can I use the Drovelis contraceptive pill and the contraceptive implant? At the same time ?
The implant wants it to work as contraception and pills for too high androgens
Will these two forms of contraception used at the same time reduce the effectiveness ? What can I get pregnant faster ?
Can I drink 100% juices with Drovelis contraceptive pills? Will they reduce the effectiveness before pregnancy?
Drovelis are new to the market, so maybe they don't interact with juices like these older birth control pills? However, these Drovelis pills have a different composition

If the ailments are bothersome, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. You can also take advantage of teleconsultation, e.g. via the Gdziepolek.pl portal:
I've been taking the pill for 6 months now and I have to say, I'm very dissatisfied. Have gained 6 kilos and extreme hair loss
Hello
I am in the middle of the first blister of Drovelis tablets and I am already able to strongly advise against these pills. I am aware that medications work differently for everyone, but if you are a woman of small stature and sensitive to drugs, I strongly advise against it. It started with a decrease in libido, then a terrible weakness of the body (I felt like I was going to faint all the time), blood pressure spikes, terrible dizziness, stinging of the heart, altered heart rate (from tachycardia to bradycardia and vice versa) and deteriorated mood. I will change pills as soon as possible.

To @Angela:
Yes, changes in bleeding are possible when using Drovelis – their absence, irregularity or poor occurrence is a common side effect, especially in the first months of use. The body may need time to stabilize under the influence of the hormones contained in the preparation. If there are no other worrying symptoms and the pills are taken regularly, this is not a cause for concern.
Hello I have been taking drovelis for 4 months the first 3 months no cycle I had the period on the 4th month now I finished the 5 pack again and again nothing is normal total in 5 months only once the cycle
Hello:)
I took Drovelis for over a year. At the beginning I somehow had my period for 1 month (little blood, no pain) then regularly in the pill break. However, the cramps were 10x worse than without the pill. My skin was 10/10, no weight gain, etc., also very positive on the mood, but after about 1 year an ever-growing fibroadenoma (benign breast tumor) which quickly grew to 7cm and had to be surgically removed. You don't know if the pill is really to blame, but I don't dare to take it anymore.
Which contraceptive pills will be most effective for a person who has a higher body weight? But he also does a lot of strength training ?
I've been taking Drovelis for 6 months and I'm at the end... my last monthly pack, then I change the medication. About my experience with Drovelis:
1) Abdominal bloating without end, no matter what I eat. Very disturbing in everyday life.
2) Loss of libido to 0.0
3) Dizziness, headaches, "mush in the head"...
4) Mood swings, aggression
5) Sleep disorders, night sweats, nightmares
6) first 4 months pulling pain in the breasts
Not recommended for sensitive women
I have been taking drovelis pills for over a year now. They did not negatively affect my liver results, with which I sometimes had problems (mainly bilirubin) before I took anything (I do liver tests every 3 months). But for the first 4 months my breasts hurt terribly, then there were frequent mid-cycle bleeding, headache, mood swings, a drop in libido practically to zero, vaginal dryness... No more. I'm changing to others ✌️
Hello, I am 48 years old and about 10 months ago I started drovelis for menstrual pain and heavy bleeding. With the latter I solved it but I continue to have pains in the lower abdomen as if I had my period even immediately after menstruation. I called the gynecologist and she reassured me by telling me to come in 15 days to change the pill. But I feel worried. I need some advice. Thank you
Unfortunately, the medication did not meet my expectations, a terrible deterioration of mood up to extreme depression, headaches, general malaise and a terrible rash of acne, I return to the previous proven drug.

Bleeding that occurs while taking Drovelis is a normal reaction of the body to the introduction of hormonal contraception. Many patients experience irregular bleeding, especially in the first months of therapy, which is related to the body's adaptation to new hormones.
However, if you experience heavy bleeding that lasts longer than usual or is accompanied by other worrying symptoms, I encourage you to consult your gynecologist. Such symptoms may suggest the need to adjust the dose of hormones or consider alternative methods of contraception.
Hello, I'm on the first pack of drovelis, everything was fine but I got bleeding a week earlier than I should have( a week before placebo pills) and on the first day of placebo pills I thought it was over but on the second day of placebo pills I got really very heavy bleeding, should I be worried?

Bleeding and abdominal pain are symptoms that may be associated with taking birth control pills such as Drovelis. In the first months of using such drugs, irregular bleeding may occur, but abdominal and back pain, especially if it is intense, may indicate the need to consult a doctor.
Hello, on 5.11 I started taking drovelis tablets, earlier there was slight spotting, currently I am on the 19th tablet and with the 17th tablet I got bleeding accompanied by abdominal and back pain. Is this normal? Should I contact my doctor to change my pills

Yes, vaginal itching can be one of the side effects of using Drovelis pills. Some women may experience symptoms such as vaginal dryness, which promotes the development of infections and discomfort.
If the symptoms persist despite the use of an ointment for intimate infections, I encourage you to consult a doctor. The specialist may assess the situation and consider a possible change in contraceptive method or additional treatment.
Is it possible for vaginal itching to occur after drovelis tablets? From almost the first pill I have observed this, I have been using ointments for infections but it is the same

To @Sjri:
I understand that endometriosis can be difficult to control and requires individually tailored therapy. Hormonal pills such as Drivelis are often used to relieve the symptoms of endometriosis, as well as to control irregular bleeding. Bleeding may be normal when you start using a new contraceptive, but if it persists or is heavy, it may need further evaluation.
I have to start the Drovelis pill, since I suffer from endometriosis, I have already changed one pill and this is the second time I change. I am perpetually bleeding and I would like to know if this pill is the right choice.

If the spotting persists for three months (without breaks), it is worth consulting a doctor.
I have been taking drovelis for two months and I am starting the third, every day I have leaks, every day, is it normal?
On the 15th day he has bleeding after Drovelis. How many more days will it be like this? I've been taking it for over a year.
I started taking Drovelis 4 months ago. At the beginning, everything was fine, the first two months everything was normal, a few brownish spots but nothing special. I called the gynecologist to ask her if I could continue the blisters without doing the 4 days of suspension because I didn't want to have my period on vacation and she replied that it could be done. Doing this, however, the fourth month, the current one, I had bright red spotting every day, without any pain, but daily, like a menstruation but less abundant. Now I'm almost at the end of the blister and I'll do the suspension but if this problem doesn't solve after 4 days I think I'll stop the pill
Bleeding as early as 12 days after Drovelis started after the 15th pink pill. How many more days will I be ?
From August 19, Monday, I started bleeding after pill 12. Today he is 30 and he is bleeding all the time. How many more days will I bleed ??? My doctor says that it can be like that after these pills. I've been taking Do for over a year now. Sometimes he gets bleeding after a placebo and often after one of the pink ones.

If you use the pills in the right way, every day at a fixed time, there is no reason to worry. The human body is not programmed, withdrawal bleeding can vary in intensity, and it can occur earlier or later than usual. There may also be a situation in which withdrawal bleeding does not occur at all and it will not necessarily indicate pregnancy. This is influenced by various external factors, e.g. stress, physical exertion.
I've been taking the 8th pack of these pills now, each time the withdrawal bleeding appeared regularly, but last time instead of blood there was only brown spotting. What can it mean? I'm a little worried.

Spotting and mid-cycle bleeding may occur when using birth control pills.
I've been taking Drovelis for a year now. And in some months I get my period faster after 12 tablets or after 13 or 18 differently. I asked my gynaecologist and she said that it could be so, that it was normal. Should you always get your period after a white placebo?
I have been taking drovelis for about 1 year and 1 month now. Always taken regular and everything and already the previous year around February my period had stopped .. then the following months it magically returned (sore and abundant). Now I write because even now I should get the period between yesterday and today having finished the box yesterday but it has not yet arrived.
Can the period with this pill be skipped?
I also lose hair completely and I end up with a dryness that I have never had before. Should I worry or is it normal?

The symptoms you describe, such as heavy bleeding, severe abdominal and headache pain, and an itchy rash, may be side effects of Drovelis tablets.
Irregular bleeding and pain are quite common, but if your symptoms are severe or persist, I encourage you to consult your doctor. Your specialist can assess your situation and consider a possible change of medication or dose adjustment.

Nausea that occurs after 5 months of using Drovelis may be related to the side effects of this drug, although these symptoms usually disappear within the first few months.
If your nausea is severe and persists, I encourage you to consult your doctor to assess the situation and consider changing your contraceptive method. It is important to report any symptoms that concern you so that you can get the right health care.
I changed the pill after 4 years and now take the 2 pack of the Drovelis pill and was satisfied at first, but in the meantime I have almost continuous heavy bleeding and in addition to severe abdominal pain and headaches.
In addition, I have an itchy rash since I took the pill.
Is that normal?
I have been taking drovelis for 5 months, for the first 4 months everything is fine but in the last month I have a strong nausea especially in the morning as soon as I wake up. Is this normal? Has this happened to others?

Up to @Alis:
Spotting before starting placebo tablets while taking Drovelis is normal and may occur in some patients.
Scanty spotting, described as mucus with a slight admixture of blood, is usually not a cause for concern. This is often associated with fluctuations in hormone levels in the body. If the spotting is scarce and is not accompanied by other disturbing symptoms, it can be considered normal.
However, if this phenomenon persists or additional symptoms appear, it is recommended to consult the attending physician to rule out possible abnormalities. If you are not able to make a face-to-face visit, I attach a link to the online teleconsultation:
I've been taking drovelis for two years. Is it normal that I got spotting (mucus with a slight admixture of blood) before the placebo? I will add that the spotting is scant.
I'm on the 9th day of taking this drug, I started this drug after pregnancy (2 months ago I gave birth), I still have heavy bleeding along with clots, to this bloating, everything itches terribly, my face is the worst, calf pain and generally feeling bad, the doctor said that there may be mood swings in the first month, but I didn't think I wouldn't recommend it so much
Hello, I have tried more pills, but none able to stop me the continuous losses of every day of the month, I tried klaira and also Naomi, but nothing, I was prescribed Drovelis but nothing, it was even worse, continuous bleeding, blocked intestine increase in kg, exaggerated bloating, mood changes, for me very NEGATIVE experience
I've been taking the Droviles for 1 year and 8 months now.
I never had any problems with it at first and considered myself really lucky. However, for a few months (1-2) more and more bleeding has been occurring between them, which is associated with pain... I am now almost at the end of the blister and then stop taking it.
Hello. I started taking Drovelis. Menstruation was throughout 1 pack. Now the 2nd pack has gone and on the 2nd pill the menstruation has ended. I wanted to know, when will they begin again? My husband and I are going on vacation, we would not like to get an unexpected. 🩸
I have been taking Drovelis on the recommendation of my gynecologist for a month and a half. I felt good for the first month, but my period lasted twice as long as usual (two weeks). After that, I didn't have a period for a week, and now I've had heavy bleeding for three days. I went to an emergency center yesterday for this reason. I was prescribed tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. Unfortunately, I am still bleeding profusely, so I have to go to the check-up tomorrow. I don't take the pill anymore because the bleeding is too heavy.
