Elestar (a medicine containing losartan and amlodipine) can be used with caution in patients with gastroduodenitis, but a doctor should be consulted during the exacerbation phase.
Some side effects, such as irritation of the gastrointestinal tract, can worsen symptoms. Elestar may cause gastrointestinal side effects such as nausea, vomiting, indigestion, diarrhoea, constipation and upper abdominal pain. Before continuing to use Elestar, you should consult with your doctor, who will assess your health and decide if the drug is safe to take at this time.
