Amlessa is recommended to be taken in the morning, preferably on an empty stomach, i.e. before the first meal. Taking it after eating may delay the absorption of active substances and reduce the effectiveness of the drug in lowering blood pressure.
It is important to take the medicine at a fixed time of day, preferably before breakfast, with water. In addition, patients should avoid consuming grapefruit juice, which may increase the effect of amlodipine in the drug.
