Augmentin, which is a derivative of amoxicillin, is considered one of the safe antibiotics during pregnancy, also in the first trimester, although the use of an antibiotic during this period always requires caution and is recommended only when necessary.
Folic acid is very important in early pregnancy for the proper development of the fetus and its supplementation should be continued regardless of the use of antibiotics. Pregna DHA, which contains omega-3 fatty acids, is also safe and recommended during pregnancy to support the development of the baby's brain. There are no contraindications to taking folic acid and Pregna DHA at the same time during Augmentin therapy, but it is always worth consulting a doctor.
