Because there has been insufficient research on the effects of aripiprazole (the active substance in Explemed) in pregnant women and because the potential for foetal toxicity cannot be excluded in animal studies, Explemed is contraindicated in pregnant women unless the expected benefit of the treatment clearly outweighs the potential risk to the foetus.

If you are taking Explemed and want to become pregnant (or suspect that you may be pregnant), tell your doctor immediately and they will decide whether to continue your treatment.
