Rivaroxaban is not known to have a direct effect on blood sugar levels — hyperglycemia is not one of its typical side effects. An increase in glycemia can have other causes, such as changes in diet, physical activity, stress or other medications. It is worth consulting a doctor who will assess the situation holistically and possibly order additional tests.
