Starting the use of contraceptive pills on the 1st day of the cycle (i.e. on the 1st day of menstruation) guarantees effectiveness from the beginning of the package, provided that the drug is taken correctly. Two-component pills (used according to the manufacturer's recommendation) are the most effective contraceptive method - the risk of pregnancy in such a situation is minimal.
