I take Seronil because of a recurrence of neurosis. I started with 10 mg (10 days) from yesterday 20 mg. After increasing the dose, I feel anxious, I also have a feeling of palpitations. It wakes me up at night and I can't sleep. My heart rate jumps to about 110, I feel a knot in my stomach. Are these symptoms resulting from increasing the dose?

Increasing the dose of Seronil (fluoxetine) may lead to side effects, including increased anxiety symptoms and sleep problems such as insomnia and vivid dreams. The symptoms you describe, such as feelings of restlessness and palpitations, may be associated with this increase in dose and are known as side effects of this drug.
It is worth reporting these symptoms to your doctor, as they may require treatment adjustments or additional sedative medication to alleviate these effects. In the first few weeks after increasing the dose, patients often experience an increase in anxiety, which may be a normal reaction of the body to changes in therapy.
I encourage you to report the symptoms you experience to your doctor, as well as to report the occurrence of an adverse effect of the preparation. Reporting side effects allows you to increase control over medicines available on the market. We wrote more about how and why to report side effects in the article:
