Good morning
Due to a fungal infection, I was prescribed Flucofast 200mg for 12 days and Gyno Femidazole globules for 15 days. Hence my questions
1. Does the medication affect my contraceptive protection if I take Rigevidon?
2. How many days after stopping Gyno Femidazole can I use condoms?
Best regards

Flucofast and Gyno-Femidazole do not affect the effectiveness of the Rigevidon contraceptive pill.
However, fluconazole may inhibit enzymes involved in the metabolism of estrogens in combined contraceptive pills, which may lead to an increase in blood levels of the pills, which in turn may result in increased side effects of the contraceptive pill, such as nausea and breast tenderness.
Even if these types of symptoms appear, protection is maintained at all times.
The ingredients of Gyno-Femidazole can damage latex, so it is worth waiting about 3-5 days after the end of the treatment before using a condom.
The general rule is to refrain from sexual activity throughout the treatment and until the infection subsides.
