How do I continue to take Yaz if I mistakenly took a 7-day placebo break?

She takes Yaz contraception. Out of an old habit I took a 7-day break. I broke the cycle of taking pills. How should I reintroduce them now? Is it again from the 1st day of the menstrual cycle?

Mistakenly taking a 7-day break between successive packages of Yaz reduces the effectiveness of contraception.
If you have had intercourse in the last 7 days, there is a risk of pregnancy and you should take a pregnancy test, which you can buy at the pharmacy. If the test result is negative, wait for the bleeding and start a new pack on the first day of bleeding – then you will be protected from the first tablet.

If you don't want to wait for the bleeding, you can go straight to taking the tablets from the new blister after receiving a negative pregnancy test. However, then the protection will not be provided immediately. Additional protection should be used throughout the cycle, protection will only be provided at the next blister, i.e. after 28 days of using Yaz.

Here you can check the availability of Yaz and make a reservation at the pharmacy:
