If stored improperly for more than a year, the antibiotic Augmentin can be ineffective and harmful.
According to the package leaflet, Augmentin should be stored below 25°C in the original carton in order to protect from moisture. Tablets in blister packs placed in sachets should be used within 30 days of opening the sachet. After this time, the medicine should be disposed of in accordance with current regulations.
