@jojo feel the same way for me, I got the IUD inserted on March 28 and I'm still bleeding today. I hope that it will finally come to an end soon.

I inserted it on the first day of my period, i.e. March 26, 2025 and today, May 4, I still have my period (or spotting). The gynecologist says that the first 3/4 months can be normal. Could you tell me how long this bleeding of yours lasted?

Unfortunately, I was bleeding for 7 months. Two weeks of bleeding, two weeks of peace and so on. After this time, let's say, it normalized and I had spotting for a period of 3 days and that's it. Unfortunately, I had so many other side effects that I took the IUD out after 1.5 years. I don't recommend it

Bleeding and abdominal pain after inserting the Kyleena IUD are quite common symptoms, especially in the first months of its use.

After the Kyleena IUD is inserted, many women experience bleeding or spotting, which can occur within the first 3 to 6 months. Bleeding can be irregular and vary in intensity, and some women may notice that the bleeding becomes less heavy over time. Abdominal or pelvic pain is also a common symptom that can occur after the insertion of an IUD. If the pain is intense or hinders daily functioning, it is recommended to consult a doctor.

If there is no improvement after three months or if you experience severe pain or heavy bleeding, it is worth consulting a doctor to rule out possible complications, such as improper placement of the IUD or infections.

Your symptoms are consistent with the typical reactions of the body to a new hormonal IUD. However, it is worth monitoring your well-being and if in doubt, consult a doctor.
