Hello. I have been taking drovelis pills for more than 2 years and tomorrow I am flying to Egypt. My question is: what to do if I get diarrhea for a few days/weeks. I know that with one-day problems up to 4 hours after taking the pill, you should take another tablet from a spare blister, but what does it look like in the case of these longer diarrhea? Should I take a spare pill every day if I get caught up to these 4 hours and take it until the diarrhea subsides?

Diarrhoea lasting more than 48 hours may affect the absorption of hormones and impair the effectiveness of contraceptive protection. If diarrhoea persists for several days, taking additional tablets may not be effective (the diarrhoea that lasts all the time prevents the proper absorption of hormones also from additional tablets), so it is recommended to use additional protection (e.g. condoms) during diarrhoea and 7 days after its end. The tablets should be taken according to the schedule - one a day.
