Is it normal to have pain after stopping Dostinex?

Please help me! I was on nostifix (cabergoline) for 3 months and after stopping I have breast pain as if I was waiting for my period. I'd like to point out that I've been in pain for two weeks. Is this normal?

Up to @Pauli:

Breast reduction was not mentioned among the side effects, but the drug used may have contributed to this condition. The cause of the described situation could also be weight reduction and fat loss. It is difficult to clearly determine what is the cause of breast reduction. If the medication you are taking is responsible for this, it is possible that the breast size will return to the previous size after it is discontinued, although it is difficult to determine whether this will definitely be the case. Each body reacts differently to treatment.

If necessary, you can arrange a teleconsultation with a doctor here:

Breast pain after discontinuation of cabergoline (Dostinex) is a fairly common symptom and is a normal reaction of the body. Cabergoline is a drug that lowers the level of prolactin - the hormone responsible for milk production. Long-term use of this medication can lead to a decrease in breast volume and relief from pain associated with cyclical hormonal changes.

After discontinuation of cabergoline, prolactin levels usually return to normal, which can cause swelling and tenderness of the breasts, reminiscent of premenstrual discomfort.
Such breast pain lasting for about 2 weeks after stopping the drug is usually temporary and should not be a cause for concern.

However, if the ailments persist or worsen, it is worth consulting a doctor. If you are unable to consult your doctor, you can use the teleconsultation here: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/telekonsultacja

Through the gdziepolek.pl website, you can check the availability of Dostinex and book it at the pharmacy of your choice: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/24511/dostinex-tabletki/apteki
