How long after the injection with Diprophos it stays in the body. On the Internet, the information is repeated that the analgesic effect of the drug usually lasts up to 4 weeks. But my question is, after what time will the substance disappear completely from the body?

Hello
Due to a change of doctor, who prescribed me an injection of Diprophos more than a year after the first one, I had to have the injection done by another doctor, because the first one after sending me to buy the product, found himself closed and inaccessible when I had just consulted him!! Consequently, after being able to make a photocopy of the prescription by mobile phone, I was able to have the injection done by another doctor a few days later.
The first injection, as far as I remember, had been rather very effective for an old paresthesia of the feet, one of which had been injured (ankle broken and put back without limping more than ten years earlier) but not treated by successive doctors, edema included; Can regular treatment of this drug, at least once a year, or rather every three to four months, give hope for a significant improvement in this paresthesia which has probably become chronic, neglected and causes me serious numbness, tingling and cramps especially in the injured leg and ankle, (I am over 70 years old) was still quite valid, But this is decreasing because of the lack of care and botched if not 'psychological' physiotherapy? Can an injection every 3 or 4 statistically improve the situation and an analgesic temporarily prescribed in hospital for pneumonia, Cataflam 50mg is contraindicated or compatible, since I no longer have a general practitioner (great shortage of general practitioners in Belgium too).
Incidentally I have to take Ferrodyn and vit. B12, because of these vitamin deficiencies (no real solution on the diet side).
Thank you.

Diprophos is a drug that contains two active substances: - sodium phosphate betamethasone - an easily soluble compound, responsible for the rapid action of the drug - betamethasone dipropionate - a poorly soluble esterer, constituting a supply of active substance with slow absorption, which makes it possible to treat the symptoms of the disease for a long time. As for the effect of the drug, the effects usually appear from 2 to 4 hours after the injection and usually last a minimum of 4 weeks. However, this does not mean that the substance remains active in the body throughout this period. The time it takes for these substances to leave the body can vary depending on many factors, such as the dose of the drug, the individual reaction of the body and metabolism. So there is no definite answer to this question, because it is an individual matter, depending on many factors. In case of doubt, I encourage you to consult your doctor again. It is the doctor who decides whether to treat the patient m.in based on the history of the disease and the previous response to treatment. Only a doctor can decide on a possible change in pharmacotherapy.
