Hello. I treat strep throat and use the antibiotic Augumentin. Can I perform a fecal test for helicobacter during treatment? Or rather after treatment,but again I do not know what interval. Best regards 😌

Therefore, for accurate results, it is recommended to perform a test for H. pylori before starting treatment with Augmentin or at least 4 weeks after the end of therapy. However, if the test for H. pylori must be carried out while taking Augmentin, you should inform your doctor about the use of this medicine so that he can take this into account when interpreting the test results. Your doctor may also recommend testing for H. pylori again after antibiotic therapy is complete to make sure the bacterium has been successfully eradicated.
