Good morning. I am a 70-year-old woman, treated for hypertension since the beginning of menopause, at the age of 50, with Lobivon 5 (1 a day) which has never caused me side effects. However, having already had high blood pressure in the morning for a couple of months (about 140 max), the cardiologist, who did not find any heart problems at the visit, decided to add 1 tablet in the morning and one in the evening (in all, they are 80 mg.) to the Lobivon 5 Micardis 40. The pressure is fluctuating, in the sense that in the morning it is quite low, and since I have been taking Micardis I notice breathlessness and shortness of breath associated with fatigue, which I did not have before. But the worst feeling is dizziness, not just for a moment, I just feel myself swaying while walking, and not if I am sitting or lying down. I tried to move the intake times, but in the evening the values are still high, 143, 150, 160 I am talking about the maximum, because minimum and beats are excellent), and this also depends on the anxiety I now feel when I have to measure my blood pressure. (at the 2nd measurement after five minutes, it drops considerably). Being an anxious person, everyone attributes dizziness to my state of anxiety, although I specify that these worsen after taking the tablets. But I am not believed. Is it possible that Micardis can cause these effects? Thank you
