Above I have indicated the trade names of the drug, such as: Luminal and Luminalum. I suspect that these are not all registered preparations that contain the active ingredient Phenobarbital. First of all, I would like to ask and ask you to discuss the pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties of this drug. In particular, what receptors in the brain it affects / what is the mechanism of action of the drug - if it is known, of course / has been known and studied. Secondly, I would like to ask: - what is the absorption time of the drug; - what is the time of its distribution in the body and reaching the maximum concentration in plasma -Tmax - what is the half-life - T 1/2 - what is the period of full elimination, i.e. the period after which the drug is no longer in the body. Thirdly, I would like to ask about the issue of the year of introduction of Luminal and the active substance Phenobarbital into medicine, including global medicine. When was this drug introduced to medicine? Was this drug or active ingredient synthesized and used before 1940? Who was the first manufacturer and what was the first trade name of this drug? Hello, I have a question about what barbiturates and their derivatives are registered in Poland and how is their availability, I searched the internet for an answer to my question, unfortunately with little success.
