Is Mounjaro safe on Hashimoto's?

Mounjaro is approved for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, not for the treatment of Hashimoto's disease. Every decision about the therapy used in a given patient is about the doctor thinking about the potential advantages and disadvantages of a given treatment. Hashimoto's disease affects many aspects of health - including very often the risk of diabetes, its more difficult management or body weight. The mere presence of Hashimoto's disease is not a contraindication to treatment. In contrast, a drug, like any other drug, can cause side effects and may not be an appropriate therapy for the individual patient. Mounjaro (as well as other products with tirzepatide) is currently not yet available in Polish pharmacies.
