Contraceptive disc prolapse at week 3 - what to do?

If the disc fell out in the 3rd week of use, 2 days before the day of removal and without putting on a new one, I wait for bleeding to occur. Will the effectiveness of contraception decrease if I put on a new disc exactly one week after the day of falling out?

Up to @Karolcia:

If the PolaRing has been outside the vagina for more than 3 hours during the third week of use, the contraceptive efficacy of the ring may have been reduced and should not be reinserted. The manufacturer recommends two ways to proceed:

1) Put on a new disc as soon as possible, which will mean the start of another 3-week period of use. This may result in the absence of the expected withdrawal bleeding, and spotting or mid-cycle bleeding may occur during the cycle.

2) Wait until withdrawal bleeding occurs and insert a new disc, no later than 7 days (7 x 24 hours) from the time of removal or spontaneous prolapse of the previous PolaRing system.

Since the described situation took place in the 3rd week, contraceptive protection should be maintained. In this case, you can remove the current disc and take a 7-day break, counting it from the time the disc falls out, after which you should insert a new system and start a new, 3-week period of use.

If at the beginning of the 3rd week of use the disc it fell out and was out of the vagina for 12 hours and I put it back in, what about contraception?

If the contraceptive disc has been used as prescribed in the 7 days preceding the prolapse and a new disc is applied after a 7-day break, the effectiveness of contraception remains intact and there is no need for an additional contraceptive method. You can read more about contraceptive rings in the text: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/krazki-dopochwowe I enclose additional information about the Polaring disc - prescription drugs can be booked at GdziePoLek and collected stationary upon presentation of a prescription: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/96196/polaring-przyrzad/apteki
