Will lasagna with peppers reduce the effectiveness of the contraceptive implant?

Hello, can eating a piece of lasagna with lots of pieces of red pepper affect the effectiveness of the Implanon NXT contraceptive implant through the vitamin C contained in paprika? I know that 1000mg of vitamin C in a day can reduce the effectiveness of contraception. Is it possible to provide such an amount only from food?

As a rule - yes, but it should be remembered that thermal treatment (cooking) causes a loss of 50%-70% of vitamin content (ascorbic acid - vitamin C is a non-durable product sensitive to oxygen and high temperature - above 50ºC). If you ate a lot of acerola during the day, exceeding 1000mg is possible, 100g of these fruits contain as much as 1.677g of vitamin C. However, if you eat reasonable amounts of fruit and vegetables and additionally - we are talking about a contraceptive implant and not about pills, nothing threatens you.

I understand, and is it possible to take 1000mg of vitamin C per day only from food, without a diet with citrus?

Lasagna will not have a negative effect on the effectiveness of the contraceptive implant. In addition, the answer to this, or a very similar question has already been given: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/opinie-i-pytania/93180/dzien-dobry-czy-zjedzenie-kawalka-lasagne-z-duza-iloscia-kawalko

User questions and answers that provide feedback about products are not verified for the purchase or use of the product. Companies often order anonymous comments to form positive opinions about their products, or negative ones about competitors. Therefore, be guided by the information in the pharmacists' responses in the first place.
