Will cigarettes weaken the effectiveness of Sylvie 20?
I am 20 years old and I take Sylvie 20 birth control pills while smoking cigarettes. Does this reduce the effectiveness of taking pills? Am I at risk of congestion or blood clots?

You should be aware that blood clots or congestion can lead to heart attack and stroke. It is worth knowing that smoking cigarettes also promotes thromboembolic complications, so combining cigarettes and contraception is a great risk to health and life. The World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommend completely abandoning oral contraception in women over 35 who smoke more than 15 cigarettes a day. For this reason, I advise against smoking cigarettes during treatment with Sylvie 20 tablets.
