Pharmaceris V - Vitiligo - vitiligo problem
Good morning. My question concerns vitiligo and specifically whether anti-cellulite lotions can cause vitiligo? I use anti-cellulite lotions on the thighs and this is where vitiligo has appeared for several years. Hence my association that this could be the cause. Thank you for your reply.

No, anti-cellulite lotions do not cause vitiligo. Vitiligo acquired is a skin disease in the course of which in various places on the body appear spots of hypopigmentation, i.e. white, discolored skin. It is true that the causes and mechanism of vitiligo are not precisely explained, but vitiligo may be associated with the occurrence of autoimmune diseases (e.g. thyroid diseases). Vitiligo spots can appear in places of injury (the so-called Koebner symptom), e.g. in the place where the strap or collar rubs the skin, they are also more visible on the skin exposed to the sun.
