How long can bleeding last after starting Elin?

Good morning, I have been on Elin birth control pills for 9 days. I started taking them from the first day of my period. My periods lasted about 7 days, and the bleeding and spotting persists until now. For how long can this occur? I will add that I am 17 years old and this is my first hormonal method of contraception.
