Good morning, I have been using PolaRing discs for 4 months. Last time after removing the disc for 7 days I forgot to put it on time (I always put it on Thursday at 11, this time I did it at 19). The last intercourse took place on Tuesday two days before the puck was inserted. Could ovulation and fertilization have occurred in those few hours? If the establishment of the new system is delayed by more than 3 hours (as in your case), its contraceptive effectiveness may be reduced. Intercourse took place 2 days before the planned insertion of the disc, and the viability of the sperm is limited, therefore pregnancy is very unlikely. The beta hCG test is negative.
