Can Spironol cause weakness? How to use Spironol if I feel unwell after it?

Good morning. Can spironol in a dose of 25 cause severe weakness especially in the legs and whether you can use only half of this tablet or 12.5 or every other day. The drug was prescribed to increase potassium levels and lower pressure. Potassium goes up and the pressure is now 120/80/54.However, on this spiron it feels very weak, especially on days when atmospheric pressure goes up. I will add that I have central cysts in the kidney.
