Does 1 tablet of Fluconazole 150mg affect the effectiveness of the Polaring disc?
Hello, I took 1 tablet of Fluconazole Polfarmex 150 mg for an intimate infection. Does this affect the operation of the Polaring contraceptive disc?

Administration of Fluconazole at a dose of 150mg once does not affect the operation of the Polaring disc. Fluconazole at a minimum dose of 200 mg per day increases the concentration of ethinyl estradiol (one of the components of the Polaring disc), increasing the concentration may increase the likelihood of side effects (e.g. vomiting or diarrhea), which may reduce the effectiveness of contraception.
