Hello, I have been taking birth control pills for two weeks. On the 14th day of taking the pills, I forgot to take it. I have to take at 17:00 so the next day at 9:00 I took a forgotten tablet. I will take two more days of pills and on the second day after taking the tablet i will see my boy. I would like to ask if if I had sex, do I have to use condoms or can I leave them that day. On that day I will also have an average chance of getting pregnant. The tablets I take are AXIA CONTI.

If the delay in taking the pill is less than 24 hours (in your case it is - from 17.00 to 9.00 not 24 hours have passed), contraceptive effectiveness is preserved. You should take the next tablets at the usual time (i.e. at 17.00). If you have taken the pills correctly during the 7 days preceding the missed of the first pill, it is not necessary to use any additional contraceptive methods. The correct intake of pills also applies to the start of contraception on the first day of menstruation.
