Symptoms such as nausea, headache, anxiety or feeling hot are common side effects that may accompany the start of treatment or an increase in the dose of Dulsevia. They should resolve spontaneously as treatment continues. Serotonin syndrome is a rare side effect that can occur with Dulsevia, especially if you are taking other serotonergic medicines or if you are taking other serotonergic medicines or overdosing on it. According to the smPC of the drug, "Symptoms of serotonin syndrome may include: changes in mental state (e.g. agitation, hallucinations, coma), instability of the autonomic system (e.g. tachycardia, variable blood pressure, hyperthermia), neuromuscular disorders (e.g. hyperreflexia, coordination disorders) and/or gastrointestinal symptoms (e.g. nausea, vomiting, diarrhea]."
