Good morning, I have a question about Ginoring, after intercourse I did not put the system back on and therefore it was beyond more than 3 hours. I used the current album for 2 weeks (2 days ago I started 3 weeks). So my question is whether to set up a new system, or the one used so far and whether the effectiveness will be preserved? Thank you very much in advance for your reply.

To @Xcbn:
If the system was out of the vagina for less than 3 hours, it did not affect the contraceptive effectiveness. However, if this time was longer and you were in the second week of using the system, the contraceptive effectiveness may be reduced. In this situation, the manufacturer recommends putting the same system back on, after washing it in cold or lukewarm (not hot) water. In addition, for the first 7 days of use (after reinsertion), you should use barrier methods of contraception (e.g. condoms) during intercourse.
If this happened in the first week of the cycle and intercourse took place during the last seven days, there would be a possibility of pregnancy. Due to the fact that you are in the second week of using the system, the risk of pregnancy is lower, but it cannot be completely ruled out. If you have any further doubts, I recommend that you consult your doctor. The Gdziepolek.pl portal allows you to take advantage of teleconsultations:

Ginoring should be in the vagina continuously for a period of 3 weeks. In the future, I recommend not removing the disc before intercourse, as this may lead to errors in the use of the system and impaired protection against pregnancy.
I encourage you to read other threads on the forum:
And if I have a similar situation, namely on the 10th day after putting it in, should I set up a new system, because that's what I did, I set up a new therapeutic system. Should I additionally use an escapelle

If Ginoring has been outside the vagina for more than 3 hours in the third week of use, contraceptive efficacy may be reduced. Discard the system you were using so far and follow one of the following schemes: 1. Put on a new disc as soon as possible, which will mark the start of the next 3-week cycle - there may be no withdrawal bleeding and spotting or mid-cycle bleeding may occur while wearing the disc. 2. Take an early break for withdrawal bleeding and put on a new system 7 days after removing the current disc. I enclose a leaflet in which the aforementioned schemes of conduct are described in detail: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/produkty/96195/ginoring-przyrzad/ulotka
