How to change tablets from Orlifique to Atyvia?

Hello, I am just finishing the 4th package of Orlifique and from the new cycle I have to go to Atyvia. If I take all the pills with the active ingredient from Orlifique and I get a period of say 3 days of using placebo pills, I will take on that day as the 1st day of the cycle the Tablet Atyvia or is contraceptive protection preserved? If not, should I use barrier methods already during placebo tablets, from the Atyvia packaging, or maybe even earlier?

You can start taking Atywia birth control pills on any day of taking placebo pills of the previous Orlifique preparation. You can also skip the placebo altogether and start using Atyvia right away, or take all the placebo tablets and start the Atyvia pack, just as you would start the next Orlifique pack. In any case, contraceptive protection will be maintained and there is no need for an additional method of contraception.
