If I got bleeding while taking Cerazette, does it mean that the pills do not work?

Today I take the last tablet of Cerazette and today I got my period. Lower abdominal pain and bleeding. Does this mean that for a whole month of taking the pills they may not have worked?

Irregular bleeding when using Cerazette tablets occurs in almost 50% of women using them. They do not indicate a weakened contraceptive effect and are not a cause for concern. Irregular bleeding is the body's reaction to the progestogens contained in the tablets - each woman reacts differently, in some vaginal bleeding may be more frequent or longer lasting, in others it may be very rare or completely disappear.
