To @Julie:
If the break lasted two weeks, it is worth consulting a doctor before resuming Saxenda therapy. If you are restarting after a long break, it is suggested to start with 0.6 mg per day and then gradually increase the dose each week until a maximum dose of 3 mg per day is reached. It is important to monitor your body's response to the medicine and adjust your dosage as directed by your doctor.
Hello
After taking the treatment, I had a constipation problem that lasted two weeks, which led me to the emergency room.
The doctors asked me to stop the Saxenda treatment, which I had already been taking for 7 weeks so I had reached the maximum dose (3ml per day).
When I came to this forum I read that you should not stop the treatment so suddenly. So do you think I can resume the treatment gradually after two weeks without injections? If so, at what daily dose can I start again? Thanks in advance

There are no clear guidelines known to me as to what discontinuation of the drug should look like and whether something can happen if we discontinue it too quickly. It all depends on the situation in which the patient is. If the drug causes bothersome, dangerous side effects - it is worth reporting this to the doctor and as soon as possible decide to change the treatment or discontinue the drug. It may then be advisable to abruptly stop the drug, because it is safer than exposure to further ailments. The situation is different when the patient has been using the drug for a long time, has achieved therapeutic goals and plans to start discontinuing the drug. This can then be done gradually. Most often, unfortunately, many patients who have not changed their eating habits and lifestyle during treatment, after discontinuation of the drug gain weight and worsen the results regarding, for example, glycemia. This is the most common effect of drug withdrawal. Each case is different, so it is best to consult the doctor who prescribed this drug. I leave a link to a video that may interest you:
