Can I take out Nuvaring after 2 weeks instead of after 3 and the protection will be preserved?

Hi would suit me to get a period after using the disc for two weeks. Is there an option to pull out the puck after these two weeks instead of three and put on a new one after a week's break? Is it safe? Does it affect the effectiveness somehow? Thank you for your reply

Personally, I made a mistake and once pulled the system a week too early. Bleeding occurred normally during the 7-day break

Removing the Nuvaring disc after 2 weeks and taking a week's break will not cause menstruation to occur within a week break. This is due to the fact that the correct cycle lasts +/- 24-35 days, so removing the disc after 2 weeks will only weaken the effectiveness of contraception (the cycle should not last less than 20 days). In a situation where you want to postpone the bleeding, a more advantageous option will be to use the Nuvaring disc for 3 weeks, and then put on a new one without a week's break in use. In this way, withdrawal bleeding will be postponed for the duration of the break after the 2nd disc is inserted, and contraceptive protection will be maintained at all times. However, it should be remembered that during the 2nd cycle spotting or intermenstrual bleeding may occur.
