Does the use of supplementation with omega-3, evening primrose oil, cod liver oil, zinc, vitamin C, vitamin D3 affect the increase of liver parameters? Does hormonal contraception affect the increase in liver parameters?

Good morning. I have a question whether supplements such as omega 3, evening primrose oil, cod liver oil, zinc, vitamin C, d3 can affect elevated liver parameters? Or could these rates have increased from birth control pills?

It is quite unlikely that the use of omega-3, evening primrose oil, cod liver oil, zinc, vitamin C or vitamin D3 will affect the increase in liver parameters. Some of these preparations (such as omega-3) are used, for example, in the treatment of fatty liver disease and should affect the normalization of liver parameters. It happens, however, that the use of contraceptive preparations causes an increase in liver parameters. If you have further questions, I encourage you to provide the name of the medicine used. We wrote more about how to take care of the liver in the articles: https://www.gdziepolek.pl/artykuly/co-szkodzi-watrobie https://www.gdziepolek.pl/kategorie/watroba
