How long after using Pyrantelum are the effects visible?

Pyrantelum may not be effective immediately after taking the first dose - you probably won't notice any effect after several hours after taking it.

The drug acts on the muscles of the parasites and immobilizes them. Then they are gradually excreted in the faeces. Pyrantelum is not effective against larval forms (a very early life stage of the parasite, differing in anatomy and physiology from the mature form).

Therefore, according to the Pyrantelum package leaflet: "The dose should be repeated two to three weeks after the first dose. Do not exceed the recommended dose. After 14 days from the end of treatment, parasitological follow-up examinations should be performed. If symptoms persist after the second dose of the drug, contact your doctor."

To @Twoja Stara: The effects of treatment should be noticeable within 2-3 days, however, for full effectiveness, the dose of the drug should be repeated after 2-3 weeks.

I have a question. How long after taking a dose does the child stop jumping on the bed? I'm not talking about re-infection. I ask when the adults will be paralyzed.
