Does the amount of fluid consumed matter for the effectiveness of contraception?

If diarrhea and vomiting affect the absorption of contraceptive pills. Does the amount of urine excreted, e.g. for 4 hours after taking the tablet, affect absorption? I often drink a tablet with plenty of water and take in a lot of fluids in general, so I inevitably often use the toilet. This puzzles me because there is nothing mentioned about it in the leaflet.

Up to @Hhhhg:

1. And what does it mean to interact with other substances? With St. John's wort, for example, is this what it's all about?

St. John's wort contains active substances, mainly hypericin and hyperyforin, which induce liver enzymes, especially CYP3A4. These enzymes accelerate the metabolism of hormones contained in contraceptive pills, which leads to a decrease in their concentration in the blood. As a result, the effectiveness of hormonal contraception may be reduced, increasing the risk of an unplanned pregnancy. It is recommended to avoid the simultaneous use of St. John's wort with hormonal contraception or to consult a doctor to choose the appropriate method of protection.

2. Can you drink mineral water with contraceptive pills?

Yes, contraceptive pills can be taken with mineral water, both sparkling and non-carbonated.

Up to @Hhhhg:

Drinking large amounts of mineral waters, even those highly saturated with minerals and carbon dioxide, does not affect the effectiveness of hormonal contraception, provided that there are no interactions with other substances. It is crucial to take contraceptive pills regularly and correctly, which ensures their high effectiveness, estimated at about 99% when used perfectly.

Drinking as much as 6 liters of water a day, especially if it is not due to increased physical exertion or extreme weather conditions, can be a symptom or lead to serious health problems such as diabetes, diabetes insipidus or electrolyte imbalances.

For @Anonim: The increased frequency of urination has no effect on the contraceptive effectiveness of the pills.
