I missed a dose of Ozempic by 10 days. Should I take a lower dose?
Good morning. I have been taking Ozempic since October 2020. 2 months ago the doctor increased my dose to 1 ml. I have a question. I take the drug every Saturday. Unfortunately, when I was going on vacation, I forgot to accept him. It took 10 days when I got home. Should I take a lower dose of the drug or normally 1 ml?

It is recommended to gradually increase the dose. Taking a higher dose immediately may result in side effects such as diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain. If you are not sure what dose of medicine you should use and why your doctor prescribed a dose of 0.5mg, I encourage you to consult your doctor.
Is it possible to take ozempic 0.5 right away? The doctor did not prescribe me 0.25, hence the question.

Według informacji zawartej w Charakterystyce Produktu Leczniczego Ozempic w razie pominięcia dawki należy ją podać jak najszybciej, w ciągu 5 dni od daty pominięcia dawki. Rozumiem, że w Pani przypadku mięło standardowe 7 dni od soboty do soboty i kolejne "nadprogramowe" 3 dni spóźnienia? Jeśli tak, to według tych instrukcji jest to mniej, niż 5 dni od daty pominięcia, a więc należy przyjąć zalecaną dawkę leku jak najszybciej. Domyślam się również, że miała Pani na myśli dawkę 1mg, a nie 1 ml. :)
Jeśli upłynęło więcej niż 5 dni, nie należy przyjmować pominiętej dawki, zaś kolejną dawkę należy podać w uprzednio ustalonym dniu (w Pani przypadku w sobotę). W każdym przypadku pacjenci mogą powrócić do swojego dotychczasowego schematu dawkowania raz na tydzień.
