For the effectiveness of the therapy, it is important that both partners undergo treatment, in more difficult cases, the doctor should also take into account the possibility of superinfection with other pathogens (chlamydia, mycosis), and if they are detected, implement targeted treatment as well. However, I am not able to answer what could be the reason for the lack of effectiveness of the treatment in your case - as I mentioned, you should see a specialist (urologist, venereologist).
