Do hair dyes have any effect on the nuvaring disc?
Good morning, Nuvaring has been using recently and I have this question: I dyed the hair yesterday and whether the paints have any effect on the operation of the puck?moreover, yesterday was the day of the foundation of the puck and despite washing my hands I have concerns whether any traces of paint were not on the disc, of course I wash it, but I wanted to ask whether the substances contained in hair dyes adversely affect the action of the disc?

No, none of the hair treatments mentioned, such as hair botox, keratin, or other similar therapies, affect the effectiveness or performance of the contraceptive ring.
The birth control ring works locally by releasing hormones into the body through the vaginal mucosa, and there is no evidence that cosmetic hair treatments can interfere with its function in any way. The substances used in such treatments only act on the hair structure, not on the endocrine system, which regulates the action of contraception.

Nie ma informacji na temat wpływu farby do włosów nałożonej na krążek Nuvaring i nie sądzę, aby ktokolwiek przeprowadzał badania na ten temat, ponieważ farba służy do aplikacji na włosy, a krążek aplikuje się do pochwy. Skrzyżowanie się zatem dróg tych produktów nie powinno zatem na żadnym etapie mieć miejsca. Farbę do włosów należy nakładać w rękawiczkach jednorazowych, które są dołączone do produktu lub użyć rękawiczek medycznych. Jeśli umyła Pani ręce po malowaniu i zaaplikowała krążek potem, a nawet dodatkowo umyła Pani sam krążek, to nie widzę możliwości, aby zanieczyściła Pani krążek farbą.
Jeśli chodzi o sam fakt malowania włosów na działanie krążka, to aplikacja farby na włosy czy skórę głowy nie ma wpływu na jego skuteczność w zapobieganiu ciąży.
